These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Karmee Circle mobile application ("the App"), operated by Sarath Babu ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Karmee Circle is a hyperlocal community platform that connects neighbours to request and offer help, give away free items, find local service providers, and promote local businesses. We provide the platform only — we are not a party to any help exchange, item handover, service booking, or transaction that happens between users.

In-Person Meetups & Exchanges

• Karmee Circle does not verify the identity, background, or intentions of users beyond basic phone/Google authentication.
• Any decision to meet another user in person — to give or receive help, hand over a free item, or hire a listed service provider — is made entirely at your own risk and discretion.
• We strongly recommend meeting in public places, informing someone you trust, and using judgement before sharing personal information or valuables.
• We are not liable for any loss, injury, dispute, or damage arising from an in-person interaction arranged through the App.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, fraudulent, or misleading help requests, listings, or reviews.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, including in the Area Chat.
• Use the App for spam, scams, or any illegal activity.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a business.

Content and accounts that violate these rules may be reported by users and are subject to removal or suspension, including automatic hiding of content after multiple independent reports.

User-Generated Content

You are solely responsible for the posts, messages, images, and listings you create. By posting content, you grant us a licence to display it within the App to other users. We may remove content that violates these Terms or is reported by the community.

Karma, Streaks & Referral Rewards

Karma points, achievement badges, daily streaks, and referral rewards are in-app engagement features with no cash value. They cannot be redeemed, transferred, sold, or exchanged for money. We may adjust the rules or reset balances to prevent abuse of these systems.

Paid Features

Featured Listings and Business Ads are optional paid upgrades processed securely via Razorpay. Prices are shown in the App before purchase. Payments are generally non-refundable once a paid feature is activated, except where required by law. Contact us if you believe you were charged in error.

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are reported repeatedly by other users, or are used for fraudulent or harmful activity. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including disputes between users.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Karmee Circle ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Karmee Circle mobile application.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and profile photo when you register via Google, or phone number when you register via OTP.
• Location data: approximate GPS location to show nearby posts, services, and ads. We do not store your precise location history.
• Content you post: text, images, and details you share in posts, service listings, or business ads.
• Device information: FCM token for push notifications.
• Phone number: collected when you sign in via OTP. Used only for authentication via Firebase. We do not share it with third parties.
• Payment data: payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card, UPI, or net banking details on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To display relevant local content, services, and ads based on your location.
• To send push notifications about activity on your posts.
• To calculate and display Karma points.
• To verify your identity via phone OTP authentication (Firebase).
• To process payments for Featured Listings and Business Ads via Razorpay. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay — we do not store any financial information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be shared with:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, database, storage, and analytics.
• Razorpay: payment processing for paid features.
• Google AdMob: to serve in-app advertisements.

Data Retention

Your account and content are retained as long as you use the app. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing sarathbb598@gmail.com.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including Firebase security rules, HTTPS encryption, and authentication tokens to protect your data.

Children's Privacy

Karmee Circle is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
